In other news: if someone tells me again, that #windows is a user-friendly OS “that just works”, and #linux is “weird and unwieldy”, I will laugh in that person’s face. 🧵

When I installed Mint a while ago, everything just clicked into place. Today, I’ve wasted several hours to just figure out, why wouldn’t my Ethernet connection work with Windows 10. It was so frustrating and ridiculous — I couldn’t believe what was happening.
To make matters worse, Windows installed some generic video card driver by default and refused to detect my second display — a feat that didn’t require any involvement on my part in Mint. Here, I had to manually download the driver and install it. Plug & play? More like plug & pray 😂
