It was a visible point-of-ingress & suited their narrative. We've had people being trafficked in via lorries all the time but in 3 years they didn't put checks in on them at the border, let alone the critical food safety checks there.

I kind of wish media was prohibited in speaking in absolutes. They speak on stage which is really hard to reply to, so their stories leave nothing to actually form constructive argument and only propagate a conversation that goes 'but yes they have', 'but the paper says they haven't'.
