Whole pile of tiny world drama about wpengine. The original developer of WordPress filed a bunch of lawsuits against wpengine claiming they were ripping off the WordPress IP. It's a whole thing. The guy even banned wpengine users from accessing WordPress plugins.

Yep, agreed. It hurt paying $600/month in those early days but our traffic to my posts was high enough to just barely cover it through Adsense, plus pay writers for whatever they earned. I was able to manage the vps but it took SO much time that I was grateful for WPEngine

It's so infuriating to see that both sides in this WPE versus Initials-of-MM argy bargy should really get chucked into the trashbin for various reasons. Why must everything and everyone we rely on suck so badly?
