The downside of twitch is that I am unable to use my phone number again even after my old account is gone. Can't interact with streamers that have the verified account with phone number. I hate that twitch is not letting me use my phone number.

I tried and it is a nope from twitch. Looks like I am going to be in a corner watching not many streamers that have chats actually available to chat in without verifying my cell number I can't use because it's still on my old non existing account from what twitch is saying.
Phone number should not be used as identities, and I say that as somebody who literally worked at a phone company leading their messaging team. What did you do to get banned? This seems suspicious.
I didn’t get banned. I got rid of my old account years ago and I’m just trying to chat with other streamers but Twitch is telling me my account is being used on another account which I don’t have anymore
This sounds like a support ticket request or 2. Phone Number ownership can actually be for one use in the most extreme, owned by the person for 5 minutes… Owners change all the time. This is a standard playbook they will have and do, as part as being competent. A number is not an identity.
