X-ray observatories are really interesting, actually. They're an entirely different thing from a more immediately understandable Korsch layout that JWST uses.
Bit of both. It's not making entirely informed statements so the person behind it probably isn't being as careful as they should be with their language. But, it is a genuine composite image of Xray and IR data using Chandra and JWST posted on NASA's JWST image database
A "scale" would be beneficial in providing the ability to comprehend the size of the event. That goes for all the beautiful images of space events whose extent are difficult to grasp.
I can see the cartwheel. But even stronger I see a jellyfish. Interesting how images from space are reminiscent of things we know in earth. Anyone would think that a higher being had a hand in both.
$10bn actually. Only 1/100 of what you say. That is roughly $30 per American. If America wants to be a great country, it needs to do great things. This is one.
I think I wouldβve called it either a mushroom galaxy or a jellyfish galaxy instead. Because the thumbnail makes me think of a giant jellyfish with no tentacles. And then you see the bigger picture and itβs like youβre on the stem side of a mushroom, looking at the other side through its cap.
β¨ Have you looked up at the night sky lately? Every star has a story, every constellation a history, and every glance reminds us how small we are in this vast universe. π

many many many reasons, but the one that bothers me the most is that AI uses the work of other artists without their consent to make something that didn't take any effort. like someone else said, i want AI to do the laundry and wash the dishes so i can make art, not the opposite
My concept of AI is an entity that has no actual volition, evil or not; but has human given intelligence and curiosity. So unless we can train it to understand the ethics of fairness, justice, and honesty, it will develop its own sense of right and wrong.
AIs are algorithms, designed to recognise patterns and replicate them. they don't have intelligence nor curiosity, because they are not actually intelligent, they are just very very complicated
Imagine a world with no money; hold the 'buts';
that would eliminate the weight of labour, hence the choices would clash less.
Let AI do what AI will and we can all contribute as we wish to the whole, without cost.
except that we are in real life, where work has a value, not just physical, but also the skill, the time, the patience, the emotion and the creativity of artists, and AI can steal all of that in a click - and that's not a good thing
no, no, no, I was thinking in terms of a comparison and would always expect all credits to be explicit.
But I was concerned about the offhanded decleration of 'awful' with no evidence.
Ah. Well I donβt mean awful to speak of quality or looks I just mean awful because a lot of artists have their work and opportunities stolen on both a corporate and personal level to be used as derivative sources for its creations
I just got here and it seems like Jesus is cropping up like crabgrass everywhere I look. I covered my quarter-acre lot with peastone two years ago so I wonβt have to see crabgrass any more.
βWhoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Godβs one and only Son.β

There are only two options regarding Genesis 1:1 and the Bible. You can either believe what Genesis says or not.You can believe in Jesus the Only God as the only possible rational explanation for the universe, for life and for your eternal destination or not. You have free will.
Almost every theory can be put to trial with believe it or not; this one peopled by imaginary sky beings, and fantacies with no believable evidence to back it up. I have been certain of two things for most of my life (about 14yrs on) that there is no such thing as a god.
βOnly fools say in their hearts, βThere is no God.β

Looking at these is extremely nice, but looking through my 10" schmidt cassegrain and seeing things with my own eyes is really more thrilling to me. Finding and seeing planets, clusters, nebulae, and galaxies in much less detail is well worth one's time and effort.

Iβm like βFinally!β
Huge disappointment.
Wait. One cannot run in space.
Oh dear...

What if things don't matter;
What if they just 'ARE' ?
