This is so innocuous and generally incongruent to statistics, this is like pointing out the death of a single blood cell. The singularity among the mean is just an anomaly. Basically the whole premise of the Fermi Paradox.
Well, unless you agree with the Nobel winning physicists who proved mathematically that the universe isn't locally real -- having no intrinsic properties independent of observation. As far as we know, we're the sole possibility for actionable sentience, so we could be critically important!
It still would have affected the big picture, wouldn’t it? I’ve always had the impression that every minor change affects the big picture. I’m not an expert in astronomy so if someone knows better, please correct me
Astronomers are not sure how many major "arms" the Galaxy really has otherwise this is a correct depiction. The Sun is halfway out from the center. Stars are too close together near the center and there are not enough heavy elements to form planets near the edge.
More babble. It makes as much sense to say "the universe would be heartbroken if there was no Earth" and then show an artist's rendering of a sad looking nebula.
The universe is grand and doesn't needing personifying.

We are *inside* the Milky Way and can't take pictures of it from the outside.
