Hi, I'm the guy who used to oversee the federal government's agency IT telecommunications contracts. This is extremely bad. There is absolutely no need for this. Not only is it a huge security exposure, but the simplest explanation for this is that it is meant to be a security exposure.

Starlink is in Ukraine right now & Ukraine is dependent on Starlink - for now. Almost certain that Zelensky will boot Starlink out of the country when war resolved..

There are other, more reliable (& definitely more stable) suppliers out there that will NEVER threaten to pull their services

I suspect that for critical ops Ukraine is already using alternatives, especially the ones from the EU. Remember all the wireless tech we enjoy today comes from research done to create reliable battlefield comms. Lots of stuff is never made public.

If a supplier cannot provide stable & predictable supply, they should be disqualified from consideration.
