Are you in any way medicly diagnosed? I only ask because I know there are programs, State side, to get wheelchairs to folks in certain programs-- uh. I'm sorry, I don't know much of UK law or programs to offer wheelchairs affordably.

My GP doesn't believe "I can't walk long distances at all" to be a medical necessity, and the only diagnosis I have for my condition apparently doesn't let me get a chair on the NHS.

Oh that is vile, it's a fucking wheelchair... do you have a Doctor that respects you at all, a primary? Maybe they can offer some insights.

Unfortunately, both the doctor at my GP, and my physio don't think I need it. Which is a problem as my disability already forces me to rely on crutches.

So nothing will be happening unless I get it for myself because they want me to continue the fight to keep my leg strength.

But I've already been fighting for 4 years to keep my leg strength, the only reason I even decided I needed a wheelchair is that I can no longer keep up with how far it's deteriorated.

They want me to prolong the inevitable further, and I just cannot do that.

God I'm really sorry... I'm hoping someone can offer you an answer. It sounds like when I was fighting fucking workman's comp and they kept calling me a liar and demanding I return to work and keep hurting myself.
