I was taught "hard work" as a virtue, but as I grew, I noticed that I wasn't benefiting from it. My hours didn't change, and my pay didn't raise any more than the 10 cents/ hour that didn't even cover inflation. There I learned hard work is for yourself. My job ONLY gets as much as I "have" to give.

Then I realized we're all getting paid the same, essentially regardless of performance. I should have worked hard at being a slacker instead.
