the only way Musk would fund cancer research would be if he had a cancer. Then he would hire all the best research scientists, all the best machinery, and build the Musk Cancer Center for Musk's Cancer.

Thing is, with Musk's Theoretical Cancer, if cancer research was properly done, he would already have the infrastructure there to treat his cancer, because they were already treating cancers like his every single day.
