If you're a dog owner who leaves your dog alone, even for only a couple of hours at a time, and claim they're fine, I guarantee you've not asked your neighbours, and your neighbours hate you for leaving a barking dog for hours.

We literally have a nanny cam and, yes, they're fine for the vast majority of the time they're alone. They're never alone for long, but this Anon is wrong in their implication
There are approximately 13m dogs living in UK homes. If this was remotely true for most dogs, we’d all be able to hear them everywhere. Yes dogs bark, yes some are really barky, and yes some owners are horribly neglectful.
And yes, it is really annoying. But it’s a tiny minority of dogs/owners.
My dog is almost never alone, why would I want to go anywhere without him? But he only barks when encouraged to do so. He's a rescue that was mistreated by his first owner, and I had to re-train him to bark as he was terrified of punishment if he made a sound.
Yea I have a Furby & my dog is crate trained, and I can assure you, my dog is absolutely fine. Sorry your neighbor didn’t train theirs, but this isn’t a thing.
I can guarantee that mine was fine, he never barked, he just loved to sleep when left alone. The neighbour however has a dog which never stops, all down to the individual dog.
All this post proves is that the OP knows a lot of crappy dogs. They may or may not know a lot of crappy dog owners, but if their dogs stay silent, the OP won't even suspect them.
Yes tar us all with this brush why not. I have told my neighbours to call me if the dogs are barking. They don't. They sleep. They're also rarely left alone fwiw (not that it matters).
