Nobody wanted button-operated train toilet doors. Physical locks please, and doors that are close enough to the bog that we can hold them closed if the lock looks untrustworthy.

They are accessibility features. Buttons are easier to press than physically manipulating a lock, and the larger room is to fit a wheelchair. It’s about giving people the dignity of being independent. People want it. Don’t assume no one wants it until you have spoken to all 8 billion of us.
Wheelchair users aren't allowed on trains without special permission from the keepers of the ramps and must come with a carer at all times. 48 hours notice is mandatory and still may not be enough.😡
