Yes, I think so. But moths are getting messed up by the cranky weather!
It’s definitely not a Diurnea fagella, which would be more expected at this time of year.

Cheers, we get hardly any micros in the garden. At our old place we ran a tiny portable heath trap and got loads of micros every night. Different habitat I guess.

Ah, that’s interesting. I have wondered about what makes certain suburban environments so good for micros. Mine certainly seems very good for micros.
As you say, habitat must play a part, plus other environmental factors such as temperature, humidity etc 🤷‍♂️

I get a relatively a relatively narrow range of micros too. Have wondered likewise if it has something to do with our situation, near the bottom of a shallow valley, on the edge of open countryside, with the temperature usually a couple of degrees cooler than it is even in uphill Endon... 🤷🏼‍♂️

Our old flat had a big wild communal garden, whereas now we have a very small garden but I definitely prefer getting the big hawks over all those micros 🤣🤣

You know how you said you don’t get Tortricoides alternella in your garden? Well, with me it’s Eudonia angustea. I think @pmandrews1973.bsky.social has had it a few times but I’ve never had it.

That is a bit strange, but to be fair I don’t get a lot of angustea either for some reason. In fact I think I only had one last year!
