The appearance of this thread is in response to this from the White House. However, there are likely political reasons behind the timing, coinciding with hefty trade tariffs on imports from China. AIs aren’t even good for that. They are, however, great at obfuscation of methodology. Security apparati are using 20 yrs worth of matured systems to surveil & detain. But feeding & publishing decision making processes through AI provides 2 benefits: a scapegoat & plausible deniability 🙃
