what are some of your go to sources of news + resources lately? w twitter being long gone and tiktok facing a road of censorship, I'm mainly on here and relevant news sites + I'm trying to dive back into modern essays

For on BlueSky, I really like Erin Reed and Alejandra Caraballo for LGBTQ journalism.
NPR on here is a pretty good for general news.
Admittedly, I get a lot of my news and such via "ye ol video on the second monitor" rather than essays, but in case that interests you too I'll drop a couple links.
Another, more "guerilla" journalist I listen to/watch is Dead Domain. They do a lot of on the ground coverage, and sometimes straight up infiltration, to talk about wtf is going through the right's heads.
Rebecca Watson is a really good general political commentator I've found more recently, with her content coming with a feminist and sciences focused lens.
For daily general politics commentary, I listen to Kyle Kulinski. He often catches things the msm downplays and digs into shitty right wing frameworks. Vid titles are a little clickbaity, and he's kind of crass sometimes, but the content is solid.
it's really grounding to read essays on social/political phenomenona by experts in their field, if nothing else is in my control at least knowledge is to some capacity
