I'm not a fan of Dune series as it praises one man rule over popular sovereignity shockingly in the space age hundreds of years away from now, regressing human civilization to middle age and stone age instead of a more democratic, civil, clear future of democracy, liberty and popular sovereignity!
It's a common problem in popularized fantasy novels including LOTR and many Disney stuff either, unfortunately! Do the authors lack the ability to make heroes of democracy and liberty beat the evil or what the heck?? I'm fed up with a kind of one man hero with or without some relative connection!
Is that why he abuses the beliefs of some people having relation with real life to bait a fascist monarch to lead'em and make them fight against his personal enemies for a bloody throne 'noone' supposed to care about, if that kind of 'saviour' prophecy was not abused by that prince monarch himself??
How so? A space traveling race intentionally choosing to turn into luddites is an interesting premise. How they adapt with Mentats, Navigators and Bene Gesserit is classic science fiction at its best.
Yeah, I don’t know about the Dune prophecy, but my prophecy says I’m about to pass gas so epic it’ll wage a battle of farts. Forget sandworms—this one’s coming straight from the spice mines of my gut.
