Hollywood is remaking it because they’re lazy and out of original ideas, partly due to risk aversion and partly due to the need for cheap, easy wins to stay competitive with all the streaming services. In five years they’ll probably remake the Titanic, Harry Potter, or the OG Star Wars trilogy. Sad!
