The death penalty means nothing in this case, especially if he’s never tried, which remains quite likely. Executing him achieves nothing his continued incarceration doesn’t already accomplish, other than possibly leading to the closure of Gitmo.
There should be no exception with terrorists and extremists, the elimination of terrorism and extremism is indispensable for the peace and security of the world.

Do you even know who KSM is? This is literally the orchestrator of the 9/11 attacks. It's not so radical someone who doesn't believe in the death penalty is willing to make an exception for him. Personally, I say let him rot. Death would be too sweet a release for that monstrous prick.
Controversial move! Balancing national security and legal process isn't easy. This plea agreement could set a precedent, but at what cost? The implications of this case ripple far beyond the courtroom.
We cannot be sure because he was waterboarded to make that “confession.” But if he is the mastermind of terror attacks that have killed thousands, why has he not been sentenced yet?
9/11 happened what, a quarter century ago? And the perpetrators and masterminds are still in courts? How long does it take to process a case in the US courts? The culprits will soon die a natural death.
