Over decades, Feminism has slowly moved women's fight for equality forward, from employment opportunities and voting rights, to sports winnings like this. But, in the face of rising fascism, and having to fight for basic bodily autonomy again, I bet they wish this was the most important fight again.
I understand revenue disparity between women’s and men’s sports but this is beyond ridiculous.
@cnn.com could you dig in further to the story and determine the percentage of revenue attributed to players in both leagues? It seems that would be a fairer measure and better highlight disparities.
What's hilarious is that the same MAGAt nuts who are frantically legislating that trans-women be broadly banned from sport (without the backing of science) will have no problem with this ridiculous disparity between the reward for winning provided to each gender in ski jumping..
"Her Sport, an advocacy group for gender equality in sport, posted on X." If you are an advocacy group get of twitter ffs. It's 3k they couldn't have found the money?
😡 Misogyny is one of the greatest evils on earth. And we are still such a long, long way from humanity being enlightened enough to realise the scope of the damage it has caused.
Because men know how to manage money and women need to wash their hair. I have been to Switzerland many times in my life and let me tell you this - they are pretty old fashioned and backward when it comes to everything.

But to be honest. It is strange that some can earn so much money with sports, and the rest nearly nothing.
