This is a huge issue. And totally flies under the radar.
All I know is when city visitors come to my little village high up in the mountains, with its two street lights and locals keeping their houses dark, the FIRST thing they do is turn on all the lights. Inside and out.
And I don't know why.
Yes, @cnn.com, do be sure to devote digital column inches to this especially crucial story right now bc there cannot possibly be anything of greater & more urgent importance going on that rightfully demands top attention.
Sometimes it's good to take a break and give our minds a bit of something less harmful, especially when there is so much going on.
How long did it take you to read the headline? You could have moved on after that, without comment, if you weren't interested. Some of us ARE interested.
The town of Oro Valley, AZ has removed street lights from everywhere except intersections to facilitate the the U of A telescope on a nearby peak. They did this willingly and spent the money. Where there’s a will there’s a way.
It's alarming to see our night skies dimmed by artificial lights. Thankfully, there's a growing movement advocating for dark skies—let's support those efforts and reclaim the beauty of the universe. Every star counts!
Where is @cnn.com or @msnbc.com??? Instead of covering the Democrat’s 30 hour filibuster on the Senate floor, they choose to put on talking heads to pontificate on why the Democrats are staying silent and not doing anything.
A thirty hour debate to delay the crazy.
Happy to see they aren't being lazy.
GOP's actions don't follow the rules,
Time to break norms and call out the fools!
In a sea of misery, this article stood out. Learning about how 💡 pollution is harming sea turtles, insects of migratory birds was the most interesting thing I learned today.
Listen CNN, I’m all for this but good lawd the United States is burning to the ground because a bunch of morons voted to “make” American great again or whatever. So, 1) focus on what really matters and 2) pick a new damn slogan because this one causes nightmares. Just no.
It's alarming how much we're losing our view of the stars. It's great to see a movement for darker skies gaining traction! Imagine rediscovering the beauty of the cosmos above us—let’s hope more cities join in to dim their lights.

Never once did I forget the majesty above my head every morning on my pre-dawn walk and run.

Stupid people should have barking collars installed so they don’t speak in public.
Finger on the pulse, guys! Super smart! 🎓
