If Trumputin negotiates an end to Russia’s war, it will be at Ukraine’s expense. Russia will claim it won that war, and the world will forever know that it was not because of Russia’s power or genius, but because they fooled the Trump into changing sides. The USA will forever be a foolish country.
It’s children. Their parents refuse to get them vaccinated. The adults are already vaccinated because their parents were sane. Now as parents themselves, they are letting their own children die because they refuse to believe facts. So sad
If you are vaccinated, if your exposed to the disease, your body fights the infection straight away, so you don't get the severe symptoms and are unlikely to spread the disease, reducing impact of an outbreak.
Measles is awful. Why would you risk a life and to protect your children from it ?
This is how public schools in Texas die. School boards will close schools and replace with private schools forcing parents to pay into the voucher system. Abbott stole $1B for his voucher program and this is the impact! Abbott is evil! Billionaires impact Texas policy! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8YgVPFq/
Sadly, it’s parents who, despite having been vaccinated themselves as children, bought into the stupidity associated with Covid. Making medical decisions based on politics instead of science.
“The number of measles cases linked to those who refused to get the vaccine has grown to 58” is how this should read. You are ignoring why there are 58 cases.
Lord we ask for peace for those who need peace, reconciliation for those who need reconciliation and comfort for all who don't know what tomorrow will bring🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Disgraceful. Fifty-eight measles cases in Texas—entirely preventable if not for the reckless anti-vax nonsense infecting this country. We had this disease under control. Now it’s back because some people think YouTube knows more than doctors. Enough.
I’m going to repeat myself. Measles is not like a cold or flu. It is extremely contagious and, depending on the type of measles, outcomes can be dire. I was infected with rubella (a/k/a German measles) in the first trimester of my mother’s pregnancy long before MMR vax was available.
I was born with two major congenital heart defects (one of which is still actively followed), was born deaf in one ear and half deaf in the other, rendered blind in one eye due to a cataract and was preemie weight despite being born at term. I was one of the lucky ones.
Miscarriage is common in women who contract rubella in the 1st trimester. If carried to term, it is not uncommon for rubella babies to have major intellectual & cognitive disabilities, malformed limbs, etc. Measles as a whole is a very serious virus, esp in children. It is also *preventable.*
Vaccines for measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, diphtheria, chicken pox & many other highly communicable diseases are available & effective. None were available at the time I was born. Many were by the late ‘60s / early ‘70s. Reduced vax uptake has let these diseases crop up again.
And finally, to those who think autism is caused by vaccines, I highly recommend reading the history of the study that resulted in spread of that claim. The author of the study making the claim WITHDREW his paper after rigorous peer review. RFK is very wrong about his claims on this subject.
This antivax behavior was ticking time bomb that has now gone off in Texas with measles and Kansas with TB. This was always going to happen. When I saw that Trump would appoint RFK Jr. to HHS, I went out and got vaccinated for a couple of things.
The possibility of a pandemic is now very real.
"Although most of the cases are in unvaccinated people or those whose vaccination status is unknown, there were four cases of measles in people who told a Texas-sized lie that they had been vaccinated."
People misunderstand how vaccines work. They can't prevent you from catching a disease 100%. They carry a high immunity rate, but if a bunch of dumb fuckers around you don't vaccinate their kids, and you keep getting exposed to it over and over again, your risk gets lowered and you get infected
Fun fact: flu average spread 1.4 persons per infection. Measles: Over 10-15 people one person will spread it too. US has entered its Darwin era. Keep self owing yourselves!
I forget what years are affected, but I was born in 1973 and required an MMR booster shot for mumps. One of the vaccines did not provide life-long protection, but wore off over a couple of decades. Get a booster shot to be sure.
They purposely don't vaccinate their kids because they want them to catch it. They believe in "natural immunity". Sacrificing everyone for their selfish "customized" health. Dumbasses

Just FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR's ORDERS, they know better than you!!!
The parents need to be charged with negligence and child endangerment.
But also, probably not.

His throwing support to pathologically lying insurrectionist felon #trump is pathetic
His conspiracy views are dangerous
His ignorance on vaccines is criminal
Now he runs Department of Health
The possibility of a pandemic is now very real.
I’m vaxxed, everyone I care about is vaxxed.
Let these parents deal with the consequences of a dead kid or two.
They’ll still blame us for it.
They’re congenitally unable to accept responsibility for anything they do.
YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS TEXAS!!!
Surprising since the State government fully supports the current Federal government.
