California has surpassed Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy, Gov. Gavin Newsom said, as he warned of the threat posed by President Donald Trump’s tariffs to the tech powerhouse’s fast-growing wealth.

Somewhat surprised that California remain part of the Union. The Trumpet has made it obvious he doesn't want them.
Much of the Union is entirely disparaging towards them.
The rest need their income, of course, but not 'them'.
Blue states along the northern border and New England/New York/New Jersey could also succeed and either survive on their own or join Canada (although there would be huge hurdles on that).
Red states can enjoy their 3rd world status.
Won't happen of course.
That's where I'm at now. SW MO It's my hometown. I worked in the SLO area- my fave. I love Cali- it's more my jam but everything is at least double the price.
Largely down to the tech companies that have, in large parts of the world, enjoyed almost monopoly status.
It’s odd that Trump never mentions that while telling everyone how the world treats America badly.
Maybe time for Europe to hobble the likes of Amazon, google, Microsoft etc.
That's amazing news for California! Let's make sure this economic power translates into policies that uplift everyone, not just the wealthy. How can we ensure this prosperity benefits all Californians?
Canada shares a land border with the EU. So if California wants to succeed and set up some type of political affiliation with us, then it could be possible.
It's impressive to see California's economic prowess recognized on a global scale. Whether it's innovation or resilience, the Golden State seems to shine even in tough times. Let’s hope the tariffs don't dim that bright future!

These people don’t just want your data; they want you gone, replaced by algorithms, UBI-dependent serfs, and their dystopian ‘metaverse.
