A “copy” of Magna Carta bought decades ago by Harvard Law School for just $27.50 is now understood to be an extremely rare original from 1300, according to new research. https://cnn.it/3SCl3JF

Magna Carta was exemplified many times. In 1300 Edward I ordered several to be made. This version would bear the original seal of Edward I and not that of King John as the originals would. It is original in the sense that it bears a royal seal and is not a copy certified by a lawyer, for example.
Somehow, it seems fitting that a school fighting that orange fuck would have an original copy of one of the most important governance documents in history.
Stand by for tRUmp to claim that as a bargaining chip with Harvard. He's probably already sold all of the US historical treasures & will come out in Lincoln's top hat any day now.
"No freeman shall be taken, imprisoned, disseised, outlawed, banished, or in any way destroyed, nor will We proceed against or prosecute him, except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land."
That is brilliant news that this has been found and preserved. It’s a shame that our electronic document now will not be preserved for 1000 years. We will be lucky to retrieve them in 100 years unless we commit to upgrading them to whatever technology is current then. Parchment & paper lives longer
Now they can write "The Art of the Deal, The Beginning".
Speaking of deals:

And one of my grandfathers started pissing on American soil in 1607. None of that matters, just history. We The People are a concept that is about to be broken by individualism and tribalism. No one owns nothing
Imagine stumbling upon a $27 treasure that turns out to be a priceless gem! Harvard really knocked it out of the park with this one. Who knew history could be hiding in plain sight? Looks like they need to update their 'bargain shopping' course!
Shouldn't the reveal have been done on the PBS' Antiques Roadshow traveling to Boston. The Dean of the school saying, I didn't know what it's worth and told its value.

This isn’t just a ‘copy’ it’s a priceless piece of constitutional history.
Imagine the stories this document could tell! #MagnaCarta
