i'm not exactly sure why one of the databass as service places bumped me, but i did make a face on the call when it was revealed "we do high availability with vm migration"

and i didn't get an answer for "what happens when migrations take too long" or "can you bring up replicas that way"

as best i can make out, the other database cowboy joint i got bumped from, the job spec changed after I applied, and they decided to look for people who have experience running postgres, at scale, on kubernetes and so i ducked out

i was too cowardly to say "good luck poaching from your competitors"

I fully expected it will be supported eventually, but like, if your database thing can't do views, maybe wait a bit to release it.

honestly, i've never encountered views outside of one company, it's something i'd easily tradeoff for scale
