An ion storm is interfering with the holographic processors on our website, so I'm going to share some images of the Garrett Command Alliance Dreadnought Cruiser! This ship was designed by Hector Ortiz and modeled by @pundus.art!

Looking forwards to seeing how some of the vanity shields look on it.
Any chance we get a non fed combo in the future?
And thats not even including if we get Lukari, Cardassian or Ferengi hybrid designs as well
I think i am getting it
Just feels like the Ambassador would have been the more unique decision. Though I'm not surprised it's a galaxy variant for that reason- Galaxy is more common.
Speaking of which, that deflector is quite something! What inspired the thoughts behind it?
It feels a lot like the "Enterprise" I built out on Construx when I was a kid, back when TNG was still airing.
Saucer was too heavy for a slim neck, so, went neckless.
...and my nacelle pylons were on the chunky/angular side.
After picking the scattered pieces a few time, I had to adapt. 😏
this seems like the flipside of the coin; the route not travelled with the Khitomer.
It makes me understand the choices made with the Khitomer that gave it such a klingon-centric silhouette. Hector had mentioned the alternative would look too Starfleet.
Khitomer - D7
Temer - B'rel
Jarok - D'deridex
Rex - Defiant/bugship
Why would the above be fine bases, and not the Galaxy the Garrett appears to draw from?
It benefits from all the AFS styling refinement of the preceding years in order to sell that while this is a Starfleet silhouette, it's definitely an AFS design.
Took me a few minutes to get around to it, but yup - I like it. 🙂
I'm guessing by the class name (Garrett) it's Ambassador, but those two share generally the same shape (Ambassador being rounder and smaller (?) than the Galaxy's oval-like, larger (?) tendencies).
I love Hector's concept art
"...Glorious."
I mean, we all know if it ain't Fed it doesn't count, but these are supposed to be Alliance ships, not "alternative looking Federation ships"...
Will the Garret be kitbashable with other Galaxy class parts?
the only thing that i would object is the streight 90 degree angle at the pylon-nacelle connection. i'd done it more like the galaxys (both arced forward a bit)
