I agree with everybody - incredible acting of Melissa! But I somehow can’t find this exact scene in the episode. Can someone help me? Maybe give me a time stamp? I feel like I missed something 😅 I don’t see Nolan getting her out of the car trunk 🤔
Hab gerade gesehen, dass du auch deutsch bist @josiexchenford.bsky.social 😅 kannst mir also gerne falls du antwortest auch auf deutsch antworten. Btw wo guckst du The Rookie?
Unintentional and caught me off guard during rehearsal.
My body had a full on sense memory of being stuffed into the car trunk when our victim was revealed.
Very intentional to recreate once we were rolling.
Love seeing these subtle details thrown in. The way you are so in tune with portraying that trauma and bringing it back to life is special for us as viewers to watch
You play the role of Lucy Chen brilliantly.✨
You have grown so incredibly as an actress. Your personality has already taken on a part of Lucy and vice versa.
You can be incredibly proud of yourself🫶🏼✨
thank you so much for sharing with us! its so interesting to know about the process while filming and how you make different decisions. Also thank you for knowing lucys character so well and portraying her in a way all of us love and are able to feel understood within her🫶
Thank you for sharing. 2x11 was a traumatizing episode for a lot people. I remember I was meeting strangers a week later for a night out and I had to share my live location with friends because wow that episode is like every girls nightmare
i loved how it was so clearly visable through the screen how lucy felt in that moment and how we could kind of see her mind go to her own traumatic experience of being stuffed into a car trunk!
It’s so interesting how instinctually your body reacts to Lucy’s experiences; it speaks to how in tune you are with this person you’ve inhabited for so many years & how you’ve allowed yourself to stay present in moments & let what happens, happen, organically & it brings more truth to her character
Thank you for sharing the process with us. It's amazing that our bodies can react like that, but it just shows how in tune you are with Lucy. Thank you for always playing Lucy so authentically, you are absolutely smashing it!! 💜
MEL! Y'all are acting your butts off!!! Best ep of the season so far. I have SO MANY THOUGHTS. Chief among them... SETH IS THE KILLER. I want to be wrong. I don't want Lucy to have this crazy deja vu. But ugh it makes sense.
(Also loved Lucy exercising her boundaries with Tim!!!)
also, not related to the rookie but i hope taters doing better! sending u guys tons of love and ur both in my prayers. if u feel comfortable doing so pls update us when she’s feeling better 🥺
ur performance was out of this world btw 🥺
one of my fav things abt ur work is how well u can express emotions through ur eyes like lucy’s just a work of art fr
