Aaand back to your regularly scheduled dose of Carol and the End of the World pre-vis: a while back, I shared my painting of Carol's parents' home interior, but I forgot to share the exterior, so... here it is! π

Understandable since I think the immense cost of tracking thatΒ wouldn't really be worth the minor pay-off - plus, as pretty as I think it looks, I'm not really sure it makes a ton of sense, ha ha! π π
Dont mention it, the show was great, it was the first time I feel connected(?) more like feel the same way with Carol too, the illustration of course are top notch β¨
fwiw, that pandemic-era streaming bubble money definitely helped π it allowed us to take a chance with a unique concept, pull together some great talent, & actually have the time to make something amazing π«π unfortunately, that's hard to come by these days
Yes! It really hit the timing just right. It was so surreal to be making a show about the world ending while we were all in lockdown and everything was so uncertain. We all cried watching the last episode's animatic.
yeah for real. I still feel... conflicted.... if they'd actually showed the end happening, it would've just kinda been too much, very "Don't Look Up" ish. But they didn't, and that feels weird too, I wanted to "be there" with everyone when it happened. I totally respect the choice SO much though

Originally I painted it with a blanket of dappled light (first post), but it was later removed (this post):

Common Side Effects is kinda filling the niche but STILL
(also I think her voice actor is in that show?!)
