Yes, budget deficits gradually dipped below $1 trillion by 2013, and then averaged $550 billion thereafter. Yet without expensive new legislation, they would have naturally fallen to $531 billion by 2011, and below $200 billion by 2013.

I'm sorry, he had a surplus budget. He had budget surpluses for fiscal years 1998–2001, the only such years from 1970 to 2023. Clinton's final four budgets were balanced budgets with surpluses, beginning with the 1997 budget.

The unemployment rate averaged a very low 3.6% in 2023, as it had in 2022; the last year with an average 3.5% unemployment rate was 1969.

The unemployment rate for Trump in 2019 was 3.7. The rate for Biden in 23 and 24 is 3.6. It’s the same, yet the deficits for Joe were 1.7 and 1.8T, DOUBLE Trumps. The deficit for Joe as a percent of GDP is 50 pct higher. Reckless.

Doesn't seem like it when you look at numbers that affect average Americans and not just the rich. Real GDP growth averaged a robust 3.4% during the first three years of the Biden presidency. The labor market was strong in 2023.
