It's ridiculous, isn't it. Not only is it better to benefit from the ££ savings immediately, but they can be fitted as the houses are being built. Greater purchasing power as the builder is buying in bulk, plus no retrospective messing around. For me, it would make the houses more attractive to buy

Yes I read it but I really don’t think the case made by developers is good enough. Having “retro fitted” solar panels to our home I have seen the benefits and can only imagine the additional benefits we might get if we could afford to change our boiler and insulation.

Thankfully @octopus.energy are involved, otherwise builders could just add the usual two to four token panels and an inadequate heat pump system, which looks good but would need upgrading after the first winter. #Essex #Octopus #Housing
