I had to use a live chat during an application process the other day, I hated it. This should not be hard. Upload a resume/cover letter or submit LinkedIn profile & answer some questions, that should be sufficient. If you don't have a robust LinkedIn profile, tailored resume, that is on you.
If you're looking for a job you kinda still have to, especially if you are in a biz where a lot of it is done with recruiters finding you. Sure there are other ways, but it is still used.
I have flipped fully back to “I want to solve any customer service issue as an email or phone call with a person.” I don’t want live chat, I don’t want to tell the machine my problem, I want to talk to a person.
