Just screaming into the void about how hard it is to care for someone else after major surgery no matter how much you love each other. It’s extra hard when they have AuDHD and being told when to take meds makes them refuse to comply.

I understand. My awesome wife has had medical issues for years. In February 2024, she was diagnosed with lung disease and had 20% in 1 lung & 25% in the other. After hundreds of tests at the transplant clinic and being there nearly every week day, she was listed for a lung transplant Dec 14, 2024.
On January 1, 2025, she received a new lung. What a rollercoaster. She went from a wheelchair, to Walker and walking on her own. It was preordained that we retire to San Antonio from Houston. The University Health Transplant Clinic is tops. She still requires care, however, everyday is better.
I’m so glad to hear she was able to get a new lung! That does sound like a huge roller coaster for you both. I hope it keeps getting easier from here. It sounds like an intense process.
