The "4th wall breaks" said it all. Carney said what he wanted to say, that Canada is not, and will never be for sale. I would love to see what happened in the private meeting though, because Trump was definitely off his game. Body language said it all, Trump wouldn't even look at Carney.

The problem is how unstable/belligerent Trump is.

The US could destroy us, overnight, if they wanted to. I'm not sure we want to exacerbate the situation.

We have to be smarter, & Carney holding his tongue is probably the best idea.

I do question whether this meeting should have happened though.

Personally I saw it differently. Yes there were moments but overall Trump showed a fuck of a lot more respect for Canada today than he has since his inauguration. We were expecting much worse.

The last US ambassador to 🇨🇦 said ages ago that if Trump were to win the 2024 election, 🇨🇦 would experience a lot of humiliation. Trump's different in front of the cameras.
If Carney doesn't make a good deal, no one can. Other than crude oil, we're moving away from US. It just can't be done overnight.

Not all Canadians. We know that Canada is so respected that Amnesty International wants us to be the leader of the free world. Carney is doing fine. The world stage is a lot bigger than the USA & everyone knows the USA is compromised.
