And to me it was pretty obvious from even before he was elected that he was much more right-leaning than JT. From there to calling him a red Tory is not much of a leap. He would have been at home in the Progressive Conservatives of yesteryear before they went full-on crazy as the CPC.

Fred's a well paid propagandist - also MCs years as public service non-profit leader makes him more of a non partisan. Very willing to work across the isle. JT did a great deal on social programs and policy. IMO MC might see that part as stable for now so is on to what needs to be done next.

It became irrational but we, especially the media, forget his tremendous victory in 2015 as he led a party from a distant 3rd to a majority government in less weeks than Carney achieved his victory. There was a great deal of support across Canada for JT(maybe not in Alberta) and he held on to ..2

100%. I also think Carney is benefiting more by being “Not Poilievre” than “Not Trudeau”. I’d have preferred to have Trudeau continue but the media had done such a number on him that he had no choice but to step aside. And in doing so saved our Canadian bacon.

I hope history will be kind to him. In my mind he reached a certain point & called up Carney & was like “You’re up, Mark”. Can you imagine PP ever letting go of power like that? Hell, even losing his own riding AND an election isn’t enough for him to set aside his mad ambitions.
