My car is water cooled, it doesn't 'use' vast quantities of water, because the water is cooled by the radiator and goes around again. Surely this is how the water would be used to cool a data centre?

Your car isn't on constantly, though, which gives the water time to cool again. These plagiarism farms are 'always on', and so presumably if they keep using the same water, its temperature rises too.

That's not how car cooling system works at all. The radiator uses air to cool the water, the water does not go on getting hotter.
This is a non story.

My knowledge of a car's inner-working is non-existent I'm afraid!

AI requiring lots of fresh water for cooling isn't a non-story though. There are better people than me to explain it properly though!
