Congratulations! I don’t blame you - the first time my former feral drooled on me because she was happy, I told everyone. It’s an honor when these little stinks show some love!
It's about that long since we took in the beautiful boy who was abandoned by neighbors down the street. They really damaged him and he's very standoffish, but we adore him. Your post gives me hope.
My feral will be 10 this year & he was under my bed for 80% of those years. I started him on CBD & he's now out & about looking to play & get love 80% of the time & he loves me to hold & carry his 18lbs around. I am so happy. 😻
Oh, that's nice. Ollie does play, and accepts chin scratches and noggin rubs, but he doesn't do laps and cuddles. He lived in a house with small children who were too rough with him, then they just left him behind. Maybe one day...
I had my 18 year-old cat since she was a kitten. It wasn’t until she was 10 or 11 when she finally decided humans were worthy of her acknowledgement for pets. She wasn’t even a feral kitten. Haha
Meanwhile, the feral kitten I adopted last year loves human attention.
We had one who HATED humans for the first 15 years we had her, then she became a pliable ball of awesome little love from 15 to age 21. Keep the faith! Biscuits are yummy!
