The timing puts the contrast to Trump so front and center. Humility, service, love, peace vs the opposite of all those things. Carter is what all our public officials should aspire to be.
He walked the talk. "My faith demands that I do whatever I can, wherever I am, whenever I can, for as long as I can with whatever I have to try to make a difference."
I will miss this human being and the way his faith- in the true way it should- guided his life. What a selfless, amazing, child of God. RIP President Carter, you will always be an inspiration.
Crisis of Confidence was one of the most forward looking visions delivered by a President. Had the nation listened the world would be a different (better) place today.
He was an honest, decent, flawed human being who told America the truth. She didn't want to hear it. She wanted Reagan's America. He was a MENSCH and a GENUINE Christian man. May his memory be a blessing.
He was a man of honor - may he rest in peace ππ» (and hoping he will meet my dad, up there, who secretly voted for him when feeling pressured to vote Republican)
