Anger is addictive. Gives us an illusion of power. And like any drug over time, the anger level has to keep rising. The fire demands fuel. trump feeds it with every word and deed.
So glad I grew up in the 70s. If you had something to say to someone, you said it to their face instead of these incel losers hiding in mom’s basement attacking everyone they perceive who wronged them. Always blame and deflect and never take personal responsibility. It’s both pathetic and sad.
You should start an IE targeting moderates of all ages and run a smart media campaign (to low and high info voters) to win key races in 2026 to pull the country back from insanity. In between Chelsea matches, of course.
I see it. Rage has become the norm and an automatic trigger for some posts on social media. We are in an atmosphere of “them against us” with a focus on character attacks & demonization. Also, there’s a mark increase in narratives without substance to present fallacious inferences of wrong or harm.
This is why we need to encourage people to get off meta, twitter and YT and come to Substack and blue sky. We have to bring people to the platforms that won’t regulate their feed
I recently went back to a website that doesn't force-feed a "for you" algorithm for content and it's legitimately one of my only happy places on the internet.
Let’s appeal to emotions. Particularly anger.
When you are dealing from that point logic is out the window in your thought processes are irrational. But it sure does make one feel powerful.
Harness that and send it to Washington DC January 6……
In case you wondered how we got here .
Anger is validating emotion when you are angry, you feel 100% justified in whatever you are doing. Perpetually make a population angry, and you can convince them of anything.
It's wild we're headed towards political violence and civil war in america, and the people causing it are not doing it based on ideologies they believe in, instead its just another boardroom strategy to make money off advertising. How calloused/dead-inside/small-minded/short-sighted can people be
This has certainly hit me personally. On pain meds for metastatic rectal cancer for over a year now. When I've had to go to ER, I've been berated for "drug-seeking behavior," even at the hospital where I was first diagnosed. One nurse even said she'd report me to the DEA! For what?!
I’m so sorry. There are millions of us affected by this - I’ve been advocating for a decade. No one cares. My dad died in hospice a year and a half ago and was denied pain meds on the day he died.
You nailed it. On top of that, we are not innately wired for the slo-pa. My kids hated me making them invest half of their money. 10 years later they are believers in investing. I am not sure I would have been as successful raising them through these new algorithms.
Yes!
I was in marketing for a long while and started picking up on this too around 2015ish. I’m certainly not as well versed or experienced as you are, but over time it became so blatant.
I love slow-dopa, first I'm hearing it. My mother was ahead of her time and described it as "productive boredom." The mind is at its best creatively when boredom occurs. That's when hobbies and outlets are sought, and this is diminished or eradicated when you can fill all silence with dopa-bag.

But you just gave the answer

Is there data on this?
Please read and let me know if this is how the Dems should go after the current administration....I would appreciate your feedback.

I will not buy ANYTHING -
Other than food - until these tariffs are removed.
Nothing ---------- see if US businesses have any leverage.
Facebook didn’t have an angry reaction option until 2016.
Don't let the algorithm use you.
Use the tool.
Don't become anyone's tool.
What else?
I feel like we could keep this fortunately / unfortunately game going all day.
It's good. I like it.
