I’ve just finished @lucygobag.bsky.social’s book. (Actually I stayed up after midnight last night to read the last chapter).
It’s a superb piece of work. Hugely informative about so many events I’ve seen on the news over the years, but also very personal and uplifting.
Highly recommended.

So much wisdom from @lucygobag.bsky.social and so relatable to the struggles so many people face, especially carers who are often living disasters in slow motion, fighting for help
@lucygobag.bsky.social’s book was also the story of my lifetime - I remember each of the events she describes from when they happened. So sad.
I met someone last week who described a tiny act of kindness I’d shown to them about 20 years ago.
I’d forgotten it, but they remembered vividly. They were a (nervous) new person in a big organisation, and that I’d found time for coffee with them had been a big thing.
The Lockerbie women laundering people's belongings to return to their families, and those who found bodies 😭 the best of us.
We need to do more of that while people are still alive, too. Your mum sounds lovely! (I’m not surprised… she will share many of your characteristics.)
