This app has regained my hope in humanity! Compared to the mean awful stuff I see daily on Twitter, everyone on Bluesky are so friendly and sweet! I feel like we’re friends 🫶🏻

so true, Over the last decade or so of attempting to use twitter, the quality fell off fast, and the last 4 years in particular, I rarely even used the site. let alone bothering to comment since everything toxic was just being forcefed in my feed lol.
It's honestly like a breath of fresh air tbh, especially now that we don't gotta have political & random marketing ads shoved in our faces as well as negative tweets & incredible toxicity.
It is so much better and more enjoyable than the Bird App is. Its not perfect (nothing will ever be perfect) and it has still some stupid 💩 but here its like one Moron shouting in the Street compared to Twitter where it is a whole Football Stadium.
It's definitely a breath of fresh air, I'm just hoping my fav creators come over and commit. If we want a better platform someone has to show they're willing to hold their ground here.
we have now learned that when studies say social media is harming mental health, they really only mean ones that use centralized algorithms to push negativity.
It's like pre-musk Twitter, except with more features and less toxicity. It's so great ❤️ just needs bookmarks and community notes and we'll be set lol

Yeah Twitter is definitely not as nice a vibe. But bluesky worked on making a nice community when it was invite only for ages. And being smaller helps.
Kinda a sad reminder, reminds me of Mixer (the streaming platform). Because it was so small and niche, so many people were just friendly and wanted to see people live, play some while Twitch was dominating.
I've seen someone say its been described like one big sleepover and like being on summer break and meeting up with new and old friends. I gotta agree. Its got that calm yet social feel. A breath of fresh air.
