Day 19: Favorite game mechanic
For me it's not about a mechanic in and of itself, but how it ties into and elevates the narrative.
I love preparing a fight with potions & oil in TW3 for example because that's how a witcher works!
Also environmental storytelling, if you can call that a "mechanic".

I don't play that many games with a final boss... I remember the final boss of Kingdom Hearts 1 was very easy to beat because I had levelled up against far harder optional bosses before.
Probably Bioware games because I can think of a personality for my character as I'm creating them, which is as important to me as how they look.
I'm hijacking this question now! Look at my Bioware characters and my Starfield character as bonus. =D
