If we need a symbol representing each country, france’s symbol is a rooster, the eagle for germany austria poland, the harp for ireland, I don’t know what would work for other EU countries ^^ but it would be funny.
Michigan...and close to the border near Detroit. We have been to Canada a few times on vacation, up into Ontario to your Provincal Parks...Beautiful! We are both retired and would rather boost the Canadian economy than this fascist shithole. Plus, big hockey fan.
No...we would never join the EU. However, we could become great trading partners as we share values so all can benefit. Bring in Japan, SK, Australia, NZ, Mexico, etc.. and lets trade together like mature countries
I dont know all the details, however there is always new rules. Now with said the EU and Canada do share many of the same value and many laws (I assume) would align nicely, but the devil is in the details.
The EU does set minimum standards which is a good thing. All the rules I see are common sense stuff. Many EU countries set their own rules on many various things. Each country maintains their sovereignty.
The EU is not a republic, it's an economic federation, not a military one like the USA, with an president who is largely symbolic, since national sovereignty plays a much bigger part.
They would keep their culture, healthcare, freedom from the rabid gun culture paid for by the NRA, lack of school shootings, their laws and regulations, their system of government, and their honour.
Plus the ability to play hockey with their dear US neighbours.🏒🏒
Most of what you call restrictions are actual regulations and citizen/consumer protections. And that was one of the main triggers for the big £ Brexit sponsors.
If I had to throw a BUT, it would be: It is still WAY TOO neolib.
I get it…. I do not know all the extra regulation requirements, but they are there and all EU members must/should comply. Plus there is always one that causes issues such as hungry
Ive spent a lot of time in Canada & EU Both wonderful.
When I was a kid, I visited Toronto and the ppl there were careful to make it clear that they are *not* like America and I was like, that's cool, but you know you're totally like Europe, right? And that's how I know that time is a flat circle or whatnot.

Don't get me wrong, as a Canadian, I'd be STOKED to take on some States (you'd boost our GDP threefold)
HOWEVER, we are different and there'd be a lot of adjustments you may not be okay with.
If you can separate with other blue states, we can still trade.
Just sayin' ...
BUT
Canada does give up their ability to fully govern themselves as they will have new restrictions.
Far better than joining US ! But still restrictions!
I hope this crazy crap goes away !
There is of course freedom of movement as well….
We shall see
Plus the ability to play hockey with their dear US neighbours.🏒🏒

Regardless ill love Canada !
I’m thinking Alaska would benefit more becoming part of Canada.
Just following maga logic - which is migraine inducing
I think guns per capita is the only category we’re on top of
And I don't think either have school shootings.
Both have lots of land, that's for sure.
Ooh Texas would then be the biggest state. 😆🙈
You’re all Government teases!
Oh wait…
🇨🇦💪🏻⬆️
But I agree, would love to see Orbanistan expelled with a fast readmission track for Hungary when it raises up from the ashes.
That’s the aXis of Evil we’ve joined. Enjoy living in a normal alliance. We’ll miss you. 😞👋
