I’m still wondering how they got a grand jury in NY to indict him. I’m guessing they sat on the indictment until they knew that had sat the right “random” grand jury.

Is it (just) sympathy or also empathy? Everyone who's used the healthcare system will empathize with him. Mere sympathy can be overcome but empathy... that's going to be tough. Cos that could be any of us.

I don’t even see why this is a federal case because murder is state charge and only time it isn’t if the motive for the killing was based on a protected status or between states
