To me, the only difference between Twitter and Facebook is that the former exposes you to the ignorance and gullibility of virtual strangers while the latter exposes you to the ignorance and gullibility of people you know.

That’s exactly why I deleted Facebook in 2020. It was one thing to see anti-vaccine conspiracy theories flooding my Twitter feed but seeing it from friends and relatives was too horrifying. Facebook was making me hate them and I got too tired and sad from arguing all the time so I just left.
When I first joined Twitter, Child 1 warned me that while FB was like going to your Auntie's to see your cousins, Twitter was like going into a pub and shouting at whoever was drinking there.

So true. Just had a lifelong friend and relative call me on FB "you liberals" after I pointed out that Greg Abbott's policies are directly connected to more babies being found dead in Houston dumpsters.
