As you all sit and whine about what Schumer did, the only thing he did wrong was not communicate with Jefferies what he was going to have to do. Most all of the people Trump/Musk have fored have been ordred back by the courts. /2
If the Gov shuts down those people are never called back. It was not a hard decision to make when you look to the future. Had they let it shut down, which Johnson set up to do, when would it ever reopen? Anyone? Never, that's when. Come on guys, Charlie Dent is right. Man that hurt to say. /end
I think Dems wanted out of the news cycle. So 🟧🤡 and his owner could crash and burn the country and everyone sees it’s them and no one else BUT WHEN DO WE FIGHT? Bending over and taking it is hurting 💩🕳️
I understand not wanting shutdown Shutdown=fed courts closed too Federal courts are getting some of these fired people back to work Only thing good about no Shutdown COURTS STAY OPEN. If Shutdown happens how do dems get it open again. It could have been permanently closed. Which is what DT wants.
1/ watching your program this morning, I can agree with all of your opposing views to one another, but at the end of the day, Charlie Dent is correct. A shutdown certainly would’ve been a disaster for people like me, a government contractor who would have been out this morning with no right
2/ to sue and will not get backpay if the government shut down. There were thousands of thousands of us when Trump did this in 2018: many of us went out of business with a 35 day shutdown. There is no telling how long this one would have lasted under the current circumstances. Thankful I have
We can talk about Chuck Schumer’s lack of leadership, planning and strategy, and I would tend to agree with you. But that is an entirely different topic altogether then the disaster a shutdown would’ve caused for many many more on Monday
He needs to still step up with leading how to get through this.
Put together a real budget.
Support people still inside who can slow walk orders.
Get a plan for marching in GOP districts and "red" States.

I know people are pissed - but what choice did Schumer have? I'd rather see what my enemies are doing rather than not be able to see them at all. Having the government open is the only check we have on it.
Exposure is our check.
Keep the lights on. We can't fight who we can't see.
In reflection, it might be Schumer was right to let the CR barely pass. It gives 6 mos of working courts and people to have jobs. But he MUST come out with a plan to get out of this - incl. campaigning to get a Senate Supermajority.
And moreso, what to do when Trump ignores courts or Congress.

See, now that's where I don't get the disconnect. In ALL these Red states, SS is THE ONLY retirement. These aren't states with huge 401k type jobs. The did away with pensions in the 80's. Social Security is it.
Why did I work for 45 years to let some NUM NUT take it away? I'm now looking for a job. These aren't the golden years. These are the rusty years. Social security for many in my rural town is their only income. Stop the wreck about to happen. Thank you, Simone, Michael, and Alicia, for speaking out.

Terrific opening segment! Symone bringing 🔥 AND receipts!
It's clear Schumer never had a strategy.
Nancy was the strategist. (I'm still mad about how she treated Joe)
24 hours prior to the Senate vote Trump called Chuck a Palestinian and posted "Schumer Shutdown". So Schumer caves. PLAYED!

At minimum, I want every dime I paid returned!
They refuse to.
