#WIPSnips From a scene early in the book when the kids are pretty young. They're playing a strategy board game. This whole scene was inspired by the board game scene in Disco Elysium in that it becomes political/ideology commentary later on

It's a rule that if you live or work at the Good Thyme Inn, you take a food-based pseudonym 🥰 Or a pseudonom, or a nom de nom, as Grilled likes to call it
I've thought about it. In fact, they have a 'creepy' book of forbidden knowledge, but I have yet to figure out how to get that joke in there without it feeling shoehorned. 😅
haha, not at all!! Lucognidus is the God of Aloutia who saved it from demonkind. The people of the world love and adore him! 😂 Actually, his worship has been waning in the years up to the Greed Wars, and now the people at the Good Thyme Inn aren't very religious. But, that's because of the
character arc Lulu himself is going through. See, you're not entirely wrong: as the Mind God, he CAN mind fuck people into doing anything he wants them to do.
But, he's also a *person* with thoughts and feelings, and he wants to be *loved* genuinely, not by force. So, after saving Aloutia by
expelling the demons to their own plane, he set up the government and religious institutions of Aloutia to work without his interference. BUT, 300 years later, things are breaking down. Capitalists are making the world an unlivable hellscape. But Lulu said he wouldn't interfere...
This time period marks the moment where he changes his mind and comes to believe that it's his duty as the world's God to also protect and serve its people.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a reference to the Necronominom in there somewhere too 😅
But also I got derailed by the horror of a mind god taking over the world... Was it a hivemind situation?? How did the world recover??? 😵💫
(You don't have to answer, it just got my imagination running 😅)
