all the couture menswear shows have skinny dudes in giant flapping pants. i simply refuse on point of principle to go back to pants that flap in the breeze. i refuse. i WILL go to jail

Very sorry to hear menswear is going this same route. The worst variant in women's wear is floppy trousers, MID CALF LENGTH! Shades of gaucho pants (sigh) and the sometimes more tolerably-styled culottes
Sometimes retail fashion takes such a hard turn in one direction that some of us just have to sit it out for a couple of years. (The years of rectangular glasses without bottom rims!) At least skirt-hemline-tyranny hasn't returned. Variety (with a big dose of strange!) is the spice of costume
couture doesn't really affect me because i am always out of trend but I do think it can sometimes shift the culture of clothes and it feels like we only JUST got decent fucking pants to wear
You're not going to see anything that extreme in rtw collections that hit stores for the plebs. But what you will see is a longer waist and better fit in the tush with an actual break in the hem coming back.
The YSL thing I saw from spring menswear couture was "all signs point to yes" on this point. Enormous shirts and trousers in palette colours. I love the shades but not looking like a billboard
OMG YES!!! I have been waiting for another 40’s revival, this is exciting! Between this and Sabrina Carpenter alerting me to Dior redoing the amazing 50’s skirt suits my day is made.
There was one thing I saw from this look, a weird 3.Designes show full of these strange wide leather jackets with Michael-type zippers, with like doubled lapels. There were neat but then I saw one in pepto pink and I thought to myself when's the last time I looked at a men's couture show so hungrily
