(1) @bsiepe.bsky.social et al with a tutorial on understanding EMA data. Lots of figures that help you get a first view of your data, and a careful rationale arguing that this is crucial to do before throwing fancy models at data.

(2) Alberto JM et al. with a paper on validating a transdiagnostic EMA mental health battery, studying topics such as perceived burden, compliance, and dropout (which is crucial given that we asked 8 surveys *per day*). Tons of neat plots & info.

(3) @bsiepe.bsky.social et al on how EMA data & wearable data that tap into same construct align with each other, such as stress, fatigue, & sleep. Results don't look great, unfortunately, for stress in particular (figure shows distribution of relations per across all N)

(4) Sebastian C-A et al. with a tutorial on estimating the the internal consistency reliability of EMA scales, using six different methods (below examples for 3 models, for positive and negative affect, separated by language of administration).

(5) @jmbh.bsky.social et al. with work that randomized 120 people to do EMA using 1-100 VAS vs 1-7 Likert items, trying to figure out what works better. Contains tons of beautiful figures on item properties like this (VAS=blue, Likert=red; these are within-person SDs).

(6) Leonie C et al. (working title: "in VAS we trust") investigating the accuracy of digital VAS: (a) tactile precision (e.g., finger-to-screen size ratio), (b) consistency of scale interpretation between respondents & (c) and over time (e.g., reactivity to repeated measurement).
