I’m not sure how much of Brubaker’s work made it to screen. I may be remembering incorrectly but it kind of seemed like he distanced himself from it when it came out. The studio also removed their involvement IIRC. Someday I’d love to hear the story of what happened here.

I do feel like brubaker plays off refns sensibility? James Urbaniak at the opening of his episode is so deeply bleak that his first line almost has a comedic tenor? Like, not just like Have Fun Boys but just "Rape 'em" Jesus Christ. All timer. My favorite scenes are w Babs Olusanmokun
