It sounds awfully awkward to me. I'm not an awkward person, but standing in line to talk to the one decent guy, in literal competition with other women for his attention, sounds like no fun.
I would love to see an app that does background checks. Or a group that meets IRL, but participants have to provide a copy of their driver's license to the organizer. If something goes wrong, you can report them, and they will have a record l.
