I think I said this to you once before like, ten to twelve years ago, but I think for all the broad and boundary-pushing nature of its content, furry's often struggled to push form outside of the cartoons, comics and games that it derives a lot of foundational inspiration from

Yeah, it's genuinely challenging and I think a part of moving beyond that is also some internalized shame about being "too visible" in a certain way. Furry has changed a lot over the years and so have I.
